Below is a breakdown of our current service fees and available funding options.

If there are changes to our fees and funding options clients will be provided with 7 days notice before changes come into effect.

All sessions are billed based on time and service type.

Fees cover both direct interaction and indirect time, including planning, documentation, and resource creation.

Services can be offered in clinic, via Telehealth or in clients own home. Clinical supervision can be provided both in person in the Sea SaLT clinic room, or via Telehealth.

At this time school visits are not offered.

PAEDIATRIC AND ADULT PATHOLOGY SERVICES

*If a recent speech pathology report has been completed within the last 12 months this fee will be reduced and quoted prior to commencement of services.

Therapy Session

- $160 | 30mins direct services + 10mins indirect services

- $240 | 40mins direct services + 20mins indirect services

Direct Services

Customised face-to-face therapy session (in clinic or telehealth) to target specific needs
Training of therapy strategies
Discussion to answer questions and concerns

Indirect Services

Session planning including development of short and long term goals
Creation of therapy resources
Record keeping following each therapy session
All materials and instructions for homework practise provided in each session

Comprehensive Speech Pathology Report

$360

1.5 hours

Detailed report providing comprehensive assessment results, clinical interpretation, and tailored recommendations.

Suitable for with more complex communication needs.
Ideal for sharing with medical teams, other Allied Health Professionals, schools/daycares, or support services.
Appropriate when the report will be shared with multiple professionals or used for referrals or school support.
Suitable for NDIS funding applications.

Consultations & Meetings

$60

per 15 minutes

Charged only if time exceeds 15 mins (with prior permission)

Meetings with external providers or other therapist for example schools/daycare, other Allied Health professionals or medical teams.

Travel

$193.99

pro rata

Charged for travelling to and from the therapy session.

Calculated according to travel time from therapist base.
Travel is charged at $193.99 per hour, calculated pro rata, plus $1.00 per kilometre.
Travel fees apply where the client location is more than 15 minutes from the clinic base.

FUNDING OPTIONS

We support a range of funding options to help make therapy accessible.

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE

Families may be able to access rebates for speech pathology services depending on their extras cover.

We are not registered for direct claiming.

After your session, we will provide you with an invoice that includes the applicable item numbers (e.g. item number 320 for initial and 350 for ongoing sessions).

You are responsible for claiming rebates directly from your health fund.

Please contact your insurer to confirm your eligibility and rebate amount.

MEDICARE

Sea SaLT Speech and Language Therapy is a registered Medicare Provider.

Your GP should include a specific referral for speech pathology to Ciara-Lucy Forrest on the Medicare Plan.

Rebate varies depending on your Family Medicare Safety Net and current government rebate. There are 2 Medicare plans listed below that you may be eligible for through your GP.

You pay our standard fee up front.
We provide an invoice with all the required details for you to claim the rebate from Medicare.

Chronic Disease Management Plan – CDMP

With a valid GP referral, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar year.

M10 – Medicare Item 139/135 – Complex Neurodevelopmental Conditions and Eligible Disabilities

With a valid GP referral, clients may be eligible for Medicare rebates for up to 8 assessment sessions and 20 therapy sessions under the M10 item group for eligible conditions.

This is including, but not limited to, ASD, stuttering, speech sound disorders (including Childhood Apraxia of Speech), and cleft lip and/or palate. Referrals may be made for suspected conditions and a confirmed diagnosis is not required prior to accessing assessment services.

This pathway also may be used while awaiting NDIS access or where NDIS funding is not available. Expanded eligibility criteria came into effect from 1 March 2026, and some GPs may be unfamiliar with the referral process.

A supporting information document can be provided to assist your GP with completing a referral to Sea SaLT Speech and Language Therapy if required.

NATIONAL DISABILITY SCHEME
NDIS

Sea SaLT Speech and Language Therapy is a private, non-registered NDIS provider.

NDIS participants are welcome to access services at Sea SaLT regardless of how their NDIS plan is managed. However, only participants with Self-Managed NDIS funding can use their NDIS funding to claim/reimburse Sea SaLT session fees.

Participants with Plan-Managed or Agency-Managed funding are still welcome to attend Sea SaLT privately, but their Sea SaLT invoices cannot be claimed from their NDIS funding.

This relates to NDIS provider and funding requirements and does not affect a person’s ability to access Sea SaLT as a private client.
